Montreal, Tuesday, March 20, 2007 – Transcontinental
Media today announced the launch of the new updated LesAffaires.com
site. With its new streamlined and contemporary architecture,
LesAffaires.com offers outstanding resources for fast access
to a wealth of French-language information on business and
the economy.
“The site contains the latest business and financial
news in a totally revamped environment,” says Stéphane
Labrèche, editor-in-chief. “Navigation is operational
and efficient and information can be accessed much more quickly.”
In addition to reading the site’s breaking news, you
can also visit INVESTIR, the popular section on investing,
which carries stock market news and contains tools for researching
and analyzing companies and funds listed on the stock exchange,
as well the interactive portfolio tracker, “Mon Portefeuille.”
The re-design also includes some new innovations. LesAffaires.TV
is given much more prominence with a new 16:9 format, and
there are also archives, interviews, articles and other video
documents. Two bloggers, René Vézina and Jérôme
Plantevin, have also joined the site, and a third will soon
be added.
“We’ve always paid a lot of attention to feedback
from our Web community, which has allowed us to develop a
product that meets the needs of site users as well as our
partners,” says Zouhaire Sekkat, vice president, new
media.
A major advertising campaign is now running. It uses billboards,
transit shelters, magazines and the Internet to invite Web
users to “faire le point” or get an update
every day on developments in the business and financial communities
through the new LesAffaires.com. portal. You can view campaign
materials by visiting our virtual press room at: http://www.lesaffaires.com/utilitaires/salle-de-presse.fr.html
