Montreal, July 6, 2009 – Transcontinental today began
officially printing the San Francisco Chronicle daily
paper at its brand new 338,000-square-foot plant in Fremont,
California. The Monday, July 6 edition is the first to come
off the presses at the plant.

Transcontinental
will print 270,000 copies of the San Francisco Chronicle
from Monday to Saturday and 360,000 on Sunday at its brand
new plant in Fremont, California. On the Picture: Kathy Hunter,

The plant in Fremont offers comprehensive printing and postpress
services. As well as handling a range of related products,
the plant will print 270,000 copies of the San Francisco
Chronicle from Monday to Saturday and 360,000 on Sunday.
